About Fashion Ever After

Fashion Ever After —  a Girl Scout Gold Award project — addresses the environmental and social damage caused by the "fast fashion" industry. Fast fashion damages the environment with both industrial and clothing waste, and exploits the workers, usually in developing countries, who make the garments. While it's great for consumers to have cheap clothing it's not good for the planet or many of the people who live on it.

Fast fashion is a global problem that we can all address locally. By understanding the issues and dangers of fast fashion  and trying to help by reusing, recycling, and renewing clothing or buying sustainable fashion, people can help limit the environmental damage done to the earth in general and help improve the lives of the workers (mostly women and children in developing countries) who create fast fashion clothing and our poorly paid and often abused.
